Profhilo is a unique ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. This anti-ageing treatment uses an injectable gel containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic Aacid on the market. When injected, this treatment stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin sagging and improve firmness.

Whilst this may sound similar to dermal fillers, as both contain hyaluronic acid, the key difference between the two treatments is that Profhilo doesn’t add volume or change the structure of the face.

Once the skin has been cleansed, 2ml of Profhilo is injected across 10 injections sites, 5 on each side of the face. These specific points are chosen as they allow the Profhilo to spread across the face, through the minimum number of injections. You may experience some stinging as the treatment is injected, however this usually only last a few of seconds.

Profhilo is used to treat loose, crepey skin, counteracting sagging and improving the skin’s firmness and elasticity. By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin this treatment improves skin tone, hydration and the appearance of fine lines. 

The effects of Profhilo usually last between 3 – 6 months, however this does vary from person to person. 

After the treatment you can expect some small lumps/swelling at the injection sites, this is completely normal for an injectable treatment and shouldn’t last more than 24hours. You may also experience redness, swelling and tenderness.
